PM Modi’s Emotional Letter to Bengal: Spiritual Appeal, Call for Change and Strong BJP Support
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday issued a heartfelt appeal to voters in West Bengal ahead of the final phase of campaigning, invoking Maa Kali and urging citizens to participate in large numbers. In his message, Modi described elections as a “sacred festival of democracy” and said his campaign journey in the state felt like a spiritual experience, energised by the love and blessings of the people.
Drawing parallels between public interactions and “darshan,” he said moments like the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha had filled him with immense energy, which he experienced again during his outreach in Bengal. He thanked supporters for their messages, letters and affection, calling it his greatest strength.
Modi highlighted a growing desire for change across different sections of society, including youth, women, farmers and workers. He stated that young people are seeking better opportunities, while women want safety and empowerment. Positioning the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as the driver of development, he urged voters to support the party for a transformative future.
Expressing confidence in the party’s performance, Modi said the formation of a BJP-led government in Bengal would mark a historic moment. He also called on voters to turn out in even greater numbers in the upcoming polling phase on April 29, emphasising that their participation would strengthen democracy.
