3.98 lakh people have been vaccinated against corona in Vadodara district

Corona vaccination campaign is going on in full swing in Vadodara district, which provides health protection against the spread of covid-19 epidemic. The vaccination campaign was carried out by Vadodara District Health System under the guidance of District Collector Shalini Agarwal and District Development Officer Kiran Zaveri.

The health department in the district has started giving corona vaccine to the citizens above 45 years of age. Under the vaccination campaign, so far a total of 3,98,114 citizens consists of Health Corona Warrior, Front Line Warrior, 45 to 49 and over 60 years of age have been vaccinated and got health protection against Corona. Corona vaccine dose has been given to 2797 citizens in Vadodara district on Sunday.

Chief District Health Officer Dr. Surendra Jain said that the work of giving corona vaccine in rural areas of Vadodara district is in full swing. So far a total of 3,98,114 people, including 1,92,516 over the age of 45 and 1,55,802 above the age of 60, have been vaccinated against corona.

He said that so far 22971 health corona warriors, 26825 front line corona warriors, 1,92,516 citizens aged 45 to 49 years and 1,55,802 citizens above 60 years of age have been vaccinated in Vadodara district. So far, the first dose of corona vaccine has been given to 3,14,088 citizens in the district and the second dose of vaccine has been given to 84026 people.

In addition to this an understanding is given to the people about the precautions to be taken after taking the vaccine. Necessary medicines are being given in case of minor or major side effects like fever or body aches. So far almost no incidents of side effects have been reported.
