A young engineer under treatment for Corona at Sumandeep Hospital near Kothi Char Rasta in Vadodara died after falling from his bed. The incident shocked the family members as they put allegations on the doctors for their negligence.

Yogesh Ishwarbhai Chauhan, 31, lived with family in the Vrindavan flat near Parivar Char Rasta on Waghodia Dabhoi Ring Road in the city. Engineer by profession he was working in a private company in Karkhadi village of Padra taluka. He was tested positive for corona under treatment at home.

Meanwhile on April 4, his family members took him to Sumandeep Hospital near Kothi Char Rasta for treatment. His family has alleged that he died after falling from a hospital bed in the morning on Tuesday. The death caused great anger among the family members and they argued with the hospital staff.

Family member Sanket Makwana said, Yogesh was admitted to the hospital and they deposited Rs 50,000 on the same day. After that, the hospital said that there was a problem in patient lungs and asked them to give an injection worth Rs 40,000. Meanwhile, a call came from the hospital this morning that he had fallen from the bed and died. Upon receiving the news, the family rushed to the hospital.

He further said that Yogesh death was due to the negligence of the doctors and staff of the hospital. The hospital is only interested in taking money and no interest in taking care of the patients. The hospital has no facilities like CCTV cameras. They has approached the police for an autopsy to find out the exact cause of his death.

As per details the police team including senior police officials, rushed to the spot and tried to settle the matter. On the other hand, the family members, including the wife of the deceased are inconsolable. Yogesh Chauhan and Khushboo were married for two years and the couple is also preparing to move to Canada.

Their uncle Vijay Parmar alleged that 31-year-old Yogesh died due to hospital negligence. Adding that if his death was due to bad lungs, then why an injection of Rs 40,000 was given.

He also alleged that while Yogesh death may have been due to a brain hemorrhage caused by falling from the bed, they wanted to conduct an autopsy to find out the exact cause of death. At present they believe the death was due to the negligence of the doctors and staff of the hospital.

Raopura police start an investigating in the matter. The family of 31-year-old Yogesh Chauhan, who died at Sumandeep Hospital near Kothi Char Rasta today, was shocked and demanded judicial inquiry in the matter.
