On 20th May, 2020, Indian Railways took the decision to restore 100 pairs of passenger train services from 1st June, 2020, after the long nationwide lockdown due to corona pandemic. Out of these 200 mail / express trains and going ahead with this decision, Western Railway will be starting 17 pairs of trains connecting Mumbai and Ahmedabad with various parts of the rest of the country in a phased manner.
According to a press release issued by WR CPRO Ravinder Bhakar, the details of the 17 pairs of trains are as following:
1) Train No. 02933/02934 Mumbai Central – Ahmedabad Karnavati Express (Ex. Mumbai Central at 13.40 hrs.) will run on daily basis and will halt at Borivali, Vapi, Valsad, Surat, Bahruch, Vadodara & Anand, Nadiad stations.
2) Train No. 02955/02956 Mumbai Central – Jaipur Express (Ex. Mumbai Central at 18.50 hrs.) will run on daily basis and will halt at Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Ankleshwar, Vadodara, Dahod, Meghnagar, Ratlam and Nagda stations of Western Railway. The other stoppages of the train will be as per regular time tabled train.
3) Train No. 02903/02904 Mumbai Central – Amritsar Golden Temple Mail (Ex. Mumbai Central at 21.25 hrs.) will run on daily basis and will halt at Borivali, Surat, Vadodara, Godhra, Dahod, Meghnagar, Ratlam and Nagda stations of Western Railway. The other stoppages of the train will be as per regular time tabled train.
4) Train No. 02480/02479 Bandra Terminus – Jodhpur Suryanagri Express (Ex. Bandra Terminus at 13.30 hrs.) will run on daily basis and will halt at Borivali, Surat, Ankleshwar, Vadodara, Anand, Ahmedabad, Mahesana and Palanpur stations of Western Railway. The other stoppages of the train will be as per regular time tabled train.
5) Train No. 02925/02926 Bandra Terminus – Amritsar Paschim Express (Ex. Bandra Terminus at 12.00 hrs.) will run on daily basis and will halt at Andheri, Borivali, Dahanu Road, Vapi, Valsad, Navsari, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Godhra, Dahod, Meghnagar, Ratlam and Nagda stations of Western Railway. The other stoppages of the train will be as per regular time tabled train.
6) Train No. 09041/09042 Bandra Terminus – Ghazipur City Express (Ex. Bandra Terminus at 23.25 hrs.) will run on Bi-Weekly basis (Friday and Sunday) will halt at Borivali, Vapi, Valsad, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara and Ratlam stations of Western Railway. The other stoppages of the train will be as per regular time tabled train.
7) Train No. 09037/09038 Bandra Terminus – Gorakhpur Avadh Express (Ex. Bandra Terminus at 22.40 hrs.) will run on four days (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday & Sunday) and will halt at Andheri, Borivali, Vapi, Valsad, Surat, Ankleshwar, Vadodara, Derol, Godhra, Dahod, Meghnagar, Bamnia, Ratlam, Khachrod and Nagda stations of Western Railway. The other stoppages of the train will be as per regular time tabled train.
8) Train No. 09039/09040 Bandra Terminus – Muzaffarpur Avadh Express (Ex. Bandra Terminus at 22.40 hrs.) will run on Tri-Weekly basis (Monday, Thursday & Saturday) and will halt at Andheri, Borivali, Vapi, Valsad, Surat, Ankleshwar, Vadodara, Derol, Godhra, Dahod, Meghnagar, Bamnia, Ratlam, Khachrod and Nagda stations of Western Railway. The other stoppages of the train will be as per regular time tabled train.
9) Train No. 09045/09046 Surat – Chhapra Tapti Ganga Express (Ex. Surat at 09.55 hrs.) will run on five days (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Sunday) and will halt at Udhna, Vyara, Navapur, Nandurbar, Dondaicha, Sindkheda and Amalner stations of Western Railway. The other stoppages of the train will be as per regular time tabled train.
10) Train No. 02833/02834 Ahmedabad – Howrah Express (Ex. Ahmedabad at 00.15 hrs.) will run on daily basis and will halt at Nadiad, Anand, Vadodara, Surat, Udhna, Bardoli, Madhi, Vyara, Navapur, Nandurbar, Dondaicha, Sindkheda, Amalner and Dharangaon stations of Western Railway. The other stoppages of the train will be as per regular time tabled train.
11) Train No. 09165/09166 Ahmedabad – Darbhanga Sabarmati Express (Ex. Ahmedabad at 21.00 hrs.) will run on three days (Wednesday, Friday & Sunday) and will halt at Mahemadavad Kheda Road, Nadiad, Anand, Chhayapuri, Godhra, Dahod, Meghnagar, Ratlam, Khachrod, Nagda, Ujjain, Tarana Road and Maksi stations of Western Railway. The other stoppages of the train will be as per regular time tabled train.
12) Train No. 09167/09168 Ahmedabad – Varanasi Sabarmati Express (Ex. Ahmedabad at 21.00 hrs.) will run on four days (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday) and will halt at Mahemadavad Kheda Road, Nadiad, Anand, Chhayapuri, Godhra, Dahod, Meghnagar, Ratlam, Khachrod, Nagda, Ujjain, Tarana Road and Maksi stations of Western Railway. The other stoppages of the train will be as per regular time tabled train.
13) Train No. 02947/02948 Ahmedabad – Patna Azimabad Express (Ex. Ahmedabad at 21.50 hrs.) will run on Bi-Weekly basis (Monday & Wednesday) and will halt at Nadiad, Anand, Chhayapuri, Ratlam, Nagda and Kota stations of Western Railway. The other stoppages of the train will be as per regular time tabled train.
14) Train No. 02915/02916 Ahmedabad – Delhi Ashram Express (Ex. Ahmedabad at 18.55 hrs.) will run on daily basis and will halt at Mahesana, Unjha and Palanpur stations of Western Railway. The other stoppages of the train will be as per regular time tabled train.
15) Train No. 02917/02918 Ahmedabad – Hazrat Nizamuddin Gujarat Sampark Kranti Express (Ex. Ahmedabad at 17.30 hrs.) will run on Tri-Weekly basis (Monday, Wednesday & Friday) and will halt at Nadiad, Anand, Chhayapuri, Godhra, Dahod and Ratlam stations of Western Railway. The other stoppages of the train will be as per regular time tabled train.
16) Train No. 09083/09084 Ahmedabad – Muzaffarpur Express Special Train (Ex. Ahmedabad at 22.00 hrs.) will run on daily basis and will halt at Vadodara and Surat stations of Western Railway. The other stoppages of the train will be as per regular time tabled train.
17) Train No. 09089/09090 Ahmedabad – Gorakhpur Special Train (Ex. Ahmedabad at 23.45 hrs.) will run on daily basis and will halt at Vadodara and Surat stations of Western Railway. The other stoppages of the train will be as per regular time tabled train.
Bhakar stated that booking for these trains was already started last week as per advance reservation Period of 30 days, but from 31st May, booking has been started as per advance reservation period of 120 days for all these 17 pairs of trains plying from Western Rly.
Some Instructions & Guidelines for Passengers before travelling in trains:
● All passengers to be compulsorily screened & only asymptomatic passengers allowed to board
● Passengers to reach the station at least 90 minutes in advance
● Only passengers with confirmed tickets to be allowed to enter Railway station
● All passengers must wear masks at the entry and during travel
● Passengers to observe social distancing both at the station & on trains
● On arrival at their destination, passengers to adhere to health protocols as prescribed by the destination State/UTs
● Passengers with very high temp./ symptoms of Covid-19 etc. after screening not allowed to travel despite having confirmed tickets. In such case, full refund to be provided (please check with TTE for details)
● For symptomatic passengers, TTE certificates to be issued at the entry/checking/screening point
● For refund, online TDR to be filed within 10 days from date of journey & original TTE certificates to be sent by the passenger to IRCTC & full fare to be refunded in customer’s account
● IRCTC to make provision for limited eatables & packaged drinking water on payment basis only in limited trains
● Passengers are encouraged to carry their own food and drinking water
● All static catering & vending units at Railway stations remain open
● In case of Food Plaza & Refreshments rooms etc., cooked items may be served as take away only
● No Linen, blankets and curtains to be provided inside the train
● Passengers are advised to carry their own linen for the travel
● The temperature inside AC coaches to be suitably regulated
● Passengers are advised to travel light
