Moscow airport briefly shut as Ukraine drone attack damages two buildings

Two buildings in Moscow were damaged in the latest drone attack. Russia's defence ministry said that “in an attempted terrorist attack” Russian forces have intercepted three Ukrainian drones over the city of Moscow.

The drones smashed into the two office buildings causing severe damages. However the authorities said that there are no casualties.

Meanwhile, the drone attack on the Russian capital forced the closure of the airport in the city briefly, said Moscow's mayor. Moscow has held Kyiv responsible for the attack.

Moscow's Vnukovo Airport was closed for departures and arrivals, it said.

Reportedly, the operations resumed as normal after an hour the operations.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian authorities said that at least one civilian was killed and five others wounded in a Russian missile attack on the northeastern city of Sumy.
