During a handover ceremony at Simba Corp's headquarters, about 100 Mahindra Scorpio Pick-up vehicles were turned over to the Kenya Police. These trucks have a single cab design and are exclusively available for commercial and special purpose use. Only overseas markets are available for Mahindra Scorpio single-cab commercial pickups.

The Pick-up Truck also has dual-beam headlights with LED daytime running lights, in addition to the aggressive radiator grille. The front bumper has two rectangular fog lamps perfectly placed at each end, giving it a hefty and strong appearance.

As a token of appreciation, Anand Mahindra, Chairman of Mahindra & Mahindra, tweeted, "Nairobi, Kenya. We're delighted to be a part of the Police Service team. The 'Beast' under the bonnet of the Scorpio is at their service." He commented on the Simba Corp post saying "We are happy to announce that we have officially handed over 100 units of Mahindra Scorpio Single Cab Pik up to the National Police Service."

The interior design is nearly identical to the current-generation Scorpio. This pick-up truck is powered by the same 2.2-litre, four-cylinder mHawk turbodiesel engine that powers the current Mahindra Scorpio, producing 118 BHP and 280 Nm of torque with a 5-speed manual transmission. It's unclear if the Kenya-spec car will have the same AWD as the Australian variant.

Mahindra also intends to release the new-generation Scorpio in India this year, as well as the Getaway lifestyle Pick-Up SUV at a later date.
