Sad news has emerged from South Carolina, USA, for the Gujarati community. Kiranben Patel, originally from Borsad and a resident of the U.S. for the past 23 years, was shot and killed. She had been running a store in South Carolina.

According to available information, a masked man entered her store with the intention of robbery and began firing indiscriminately. Kiranben was hit by more than eight bullets and collapsed on the spot, succumbing to her injuries.

Kiranben is survived by two children — a son who resides in the UK and a daughter who lives in Canada.

The incident occurred three days ago at night while Kiranben was closing the store and preparing to go home. She was reportedly counting cash when the masked assailant entered and opened fire, resulting in her tragic death.
