Chai Ada is the first café in UK to accept cryptocurrency, sells vada pav and biryani

Tayyab Shafiq, a 26-year-old mechanical engineer, has opened Chai Ada, Britain's first bitcoin café. Cash, credit, and cryptocurrency are all accepted at the café. The Chai Ada café has created an app that accepts cryptocurrency payments such as Ripple, Litecoin, and Dogecoin.

"In order to minimise gas fees and transactional fees of big coins, we are offering our clients the option to pay in Ripple, Litecoin and Dogecoin," Shafiq tells.

Rana, the café's operations manager, emphasised that it will be as simple as making a short transfer from your crypto wallet to ours over the phone.

Because of its decentralised character, digital currency, according to Shafiq, is the currency of the future. He also stated that in the next days, numerous businesses and stores will adopt digital currency. "The future is certainly about digital currency due to its decentralised nature. And I am quite sure that more than a want, it will be the need of the world. You'll see various brands and outlets taking it in in the near future."

People are also using non-fungible tokens (NFTs), which allow users to acquire their own virtual assets like digital art from the café, according to Rana, the café's operations manager. The café also offers metaverse plans, which allow customers to hold virtual meetings, essentially simulating sitting in Chai Ada.

Among the menu offerings at Chai Ada are Kashmiri pink tea, vada pav, biryani, and masala chai. The first digital currency cafe in the United Kingdom is located near the BBC Television Centre and a well-known London shopping centre.
