At Least 65 Killed in Gaza as Israeli Tanks Enter Deir el-Balah: Reports

Reports indicate that Israeli forces launched a ground operation on Monday, targeting southern and eastern areas of the city, which is sheltering large numbers of displaced Palestinians. The operation followed a forced evacuation order issued by the Israeli military on Sunday, prompting thousands of residents to flee westward toward the Mediterranean coast and south toward Khan Younis.

Local medics told sources that tank shelling hit residential homes and mosques, killing at least three people and wounding several others.

According to the sources gunfire could be heard as Israeli tanks advanced into the area on Monday morning.
