Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani asked about health of Dr. Sheetal Mistry

Dr. Sheetal Mistry, a surgical instructor at GMERS Medical College, Gotri and nodal officer of the Corona treatment facility is down with Covid 19. He has been working tirelessly day and night since the onset of the Corona crisis six and a half months ago and currently under treatment.

On Sunday Chief Minister Vijay Rupani called him and inquired about his health. He wished him a speedy recovery and recalling his extensive services as a Corona warrior. He also encouraging him to rejoin the patient service with renewed energy.

In a telephonic conversation with the Chief Minister, Dr. Sheetal Mistry said, following the mantra of Karma is pooja, he has been providing uninterrupted services of Covid Management as the Administrative Nodal Officer at Gotri Hospital for the last 6 months and arranging for proper care of more than 5,000 patients. He also mentioned about proper coordination with staff of 400 and more.

It is to be mentioned that Dr. Mistry has very sensitively arranged oxygen and other necessary facilities in this hospital, resolving human resource related issues in all matters by the instructions of OSD and education secretary Dr. Vinod Rao.

At the same time, by constantly studying the new disease of Corona, he has worked to spread awareness on newspapers, channels and social media platforms. It is not wrong to say that he know so much about Corona disease than any other. He has consistently provided accurate information about the disease, its viruses, its drugs and injections, as well as the cytokine storms that lead to sudden death.

Although he is currently suffering from corona but he has not given up. In a conversation, he said, “During this time, I am constantly discussing the disease with my doctor friends and currently have the opportunity to read more about it. Corona’s patient suffered from physical pain, dislike of food and other things, side effects of drugs and how better drug management, dietary improvements were all considered during this period.

Now by using all these he committed to developing a protocol that improves corona treatment and increases patient comfort.

Dr. Sheetal Mistry has been managing Corona for the last 6 months without taking a single leave. Oxygen is a key factor in the treatment of corona. His efforts to ensure that the supply crisis is properly addressed and industries and hospitals have a sound policy to supply oxygen are paying off. He has worked at Gotri Hospital to provide relief to the patients by taking care of water, sanitation, power system improvement, ward formation and management. He woke up in the middle of the night and not hesitate to help the needy patients.

He is currently thinking of improving the treatment of Coronavirus even at this condition and showed everyone that he is truly a fearless Corona warrior. We also wish him a speedy recovery.
