The theme for World Health Day 2021 is ‘Building a fairer, healthier world’. According to WHO surveys, smoking can increase the infection of covid COVID-19.

A special survey was conducted by Faith Foundation of 20 restaurants in Vadodara city regarding compliance of COTPA 2003 section 4. According to these restaurants they did not have “No Smoking Area” signages. In 65% of the places, people were seen smoking. Bidi scraps / ash / cigarette butts were found in 61.9% of the places. All these matters are in violation of Section 4 of the COTPA 2003. (There should be a “No Smoking Area” sign in a public place, a public place where the general public can move around as they wish. Hotels / restaurants are also included in the public space.)

On the occasion of World Health Day Faith Foundation organises the webinar discussed the topics about basic knowledge of HIV, TB, relation between COVID-19 and Tobacco.
