VMSS food teams conduct checking at 32 places in view of Uttarayan

Took 72 samples of Chikki and Undhiya, issued notices to 7 traders

On the occasion of Uttarayan festival, the VMSS Food Department carried out checking of sesame, chikki, undhiyu, oil, jaggery, ghee and besan in manufacturing units and shops at 32 places in Vadodara city.

In the meantime, 7 traders were given strict instructions to maintain cleanliness by issuing Schedule-4 notices and also instructed to follow the guideline of Covid-19.

Checking was done by the teams to ensure that the health of the people is not compromised during the Uttarayan festival. The team checked 32 places in Sardar Estate, Gorwa, Waghodia Road, Manjalpur, Makarpura, Soma Talav, Nizampura, Alkapuri, Gotri Road, Kothi Char Rasta, Warasia, Sayajiganj, Diwalipura, Raopura, Rajmahal road, Dandia Bazar and Karelibagh area of ​​Vadodara. They took about 72 samples of items including sesame, chikki, undhiyu, oil, jaggery, ghee and besan, Which have been sent to the lab for testing.

In addition, food department officials issued strict Schedule-4 notices to seven traders to maintain cleanliness.
