Took samples for testing

VMSS health department food safety officers checked inside flour mills in Vadodara especially Farali flour in view of the festive month. They collected various samples from the spot and send to laboratory for testing.

Food and Safety department Gandhinagar issued guidelines to check the quality of items in the flour mill in view of the ongoing festive month. VMSS food safety team also checked around eight flour mills in the city and took samples for testing.

Last year many cases of adultery in flour came to light in the state which forced the Food safety Department to issue strict checking guidelines this year. The VMSS team checked Shree Rokadnath Gruh Udyog at Sangam, Nevumal Perumal at Kadak market in Sayajigunj, Pannalal Lotwala at Mandvi, Gayatri flour mill at Chokhandi and other mills in various areas of the city. The teams also collected samples of the flour for testing.
