VMSS fined 31 people for spitting in open

Sprinkled powder and insecticides at various places as part of preventive measure against COVID 19

Coronavirus also known as COVID 19 is spreading quickly in many
countries including India and government is taking every precautions to control
the deadly virus. Vadodara Mahanagar Seva Sadan also swung into action and
strictly implementing the government directives to prevent the deadly virus.



Starting on 16th March as per Municipal Commissioner
instructions, VMSS formed zone wise teams and strictly implement the spitting
free campaign in view of COVID 19. The teams fined 31 people spitting in open
and recover 8100 from them.



Secondly the teams sprinkled 2465 kgs Malathion and 5670 kgs
of Lime powder at 947 spots in the city. 50 hoardings are put up at various
spots by the teams to spread the awareness regarding COVID 19.



Insecticides are also sprayed inside the popular Sayajibaug
zoo as a preventive measure and hand sanitizer are kept at the ticket window
for the visitors.



Three bookings at corporation run Atithi Gruh are also
cancelled by the people in view of COVID 19.
