VMC tighten up strings to check Covid cases with more than 800 health teams and Sanjivani raths

Municipal Commissioner warn of strict action against violation of safety rules

Ahmedabad has imposed curfew for three days after steep rise in Covid cases and request people to follow the guidelines. However Vadodara with a little better picture also advise the citizens to observe the rules and stay safe. VMC commissioner P. Swaroop said they are increasing the testing and also the frequency of Sanjivani Raths to detect cases and treat them.

He said, the city witness a little hike in Covid cases in last three days but there is no need to panic. People just follow the three golden rules of wearing mask, maintain social distancing and hand sanitising to keep themselves and others safe. Presently there are 70% beds in hospitals and 60% in ICU are vacant to tackle any situation.

He further added that they are increasing testing and also the frequency of Sanjivani raths twice a day. More than 800 health teams will conduct door to door survey to detect the cases for early treatment. Talking about the guidelines violations in markets he said, action will be taken against those who are found to be violating the Covid 19 guidelines. He request everyone to follow the rules to stay safe and don't panic.
