VMC commissioner ban immersion of idols inside lakes, rivers and canals

To prevent the spreading of Coronavirus, Vadodara Municipal Commissioner issues a notification regarding putting a ban on immersion of Ganesh idols inside lakes, rivers and canals. 5000 rs fine be imposed on the violaters and action will be taken under epidemic act.

Amid rising cases of Coronavirus, state government also put a ban on the festivals in the month of August and request people to follow the government guidelines. VMC commissioner is also issues the notification ahead of Ganeshotsav putting a ban on immersion of idols inside lakes, rivers and canals.

The notification further states that anyone found to be violate the rules will be booked under Epidemic act and a fine of 5000 rupees.
