A video of Vadodara resident brutally beating a dog went viral in the social media. Lives near Chhani canal he was seen chasing and beat the dog by closing the gate of the flat.
A complaint was filed by animal activists who had a scuffle with the person after they reached the spot. The woman living in the flat also argued and said that whenever they call the NGO's about dog being sick they don't even comes to check.
As per available details, a dog that had entered in Ghanshyam apartment on the city's Chhani Sama Canal Road had disturbed the sleep of the residents of the flat. So one of the resident closed the gate and beat the dog mercilessly with a stick.
A video of the same went viral in the social media and People for Animals organisation came to action and reached the flat to check. One of the activist lodged a complaint at the Fategunj police station against the person who brutally beat the dog. Police has initiated action based on the complaint.
As per the information, the residents of the flat surrounded the animal activist after she reached the spot based on the viral video. A woman resident of the flat lashed out at the activist saying that why don't they come whenever the dog fell ill and they called them for help. Responding to the woman's aggression, the activist said, "If we get a message, we will come immediately." But in today's case, no one has the right to beat a dog mercilessly.
The flat residents asked the activist to take whatever legal action they want as they will not allow a dog to become a nuisance to the occupants. Notably, many areas of the city have previously witnessed incidents of brutal beating of of dogs and one more incident has been added.
