In order to ease the tensions, Video call facility has been started at Sayaji Hospital to keep in touch with the patients undergoing covid treatment. The facility gives relatives a chance to chat and ease the tensions on both sides. This system is already working in Gotri hospital.
Under the guidance of Dr. Vinod Rao, Officer on Special Duty, various facilities are being made available at Sayaji Hospital to strengthen and expand the Covid treatment facility. As per the instructions of Dr. Rao, Administrator Ashok Patel and Advisor Dr. Minoo Patel in collaboration with Medical Superintendent Dr. Ranjan Aiyar and Team Sayaji has started this facility in the hospital.
The video calling facility has been launched from Saturday at the hospital as a important contact link between relatives and Covid patients undergoing treatment. With the help of this facility, the patients will be able to safely communicate with their relatives and get assured about their well being.
This facility is already functioning in the Covid department of Gotri Hospital. Dr. Minoo Patel said that Sayaji was in dire need of this and after they brought the matter to the notice of Dr. Vinod Rao, he instructed him to start the facility immediately. The facility starts with two patients admitted in the hospital talked with the medical superintendent through video calling.
A total of 30 state-of-the-art Android mobile phones have been installed for this facility as well as to keep the corporation, the state government informed of the latest information from the Covid department and for real-time integration of information with other departments of Sayaji Hospital itself.
The relatives of the patients will be able to make audio-visual contact with the family under treatment from the Information Center of the hospital every day from 12 noon to 2 pm and from 6 to 8 pm and ask about their well being. With this both can communicate and get to know about the treatment and also gives a much needed confort level. The service is also being provided at Gotri Hospital with the help of 15 mobile sets. In this regard, Dr. Belim said, the services of a doctor and a counselor are available at the information center of the hospital who will assist the relatives of the patients in video calling
