Started MTR ride cab service without taking money from the driver

Accelerating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s self-reliant India campaign, a youth from Baroda began startup in the transport sector. Working as a machine operator in Dubai for 9 years, Viraj Jadhav is a plastic engineer living in the OP Road area of the city. He came to Vadodara in December 2019 and thought of jumping into the transport sector to give middle class people ride in the cabs with their family.

He said, middle class families always has a dream of having their own car in life. So he start MTR (Mahalakshmi Transport Ride) to give middle class people a feel of moving in their own car. The rate is affordable in comparison to other services.

At present 3500 car and rickshaw drivers in Vadodara and more than two thousand car drivers in Delhi and NCR have joined the MTR and more will join soon. Currently cabs have been started without taking money from the drivers and that gives them a sense of belief to earn good money.

“Other companies charge more which prevent the middle-class people from traveling in the cab. Here we start this service with 50% less price from other international cabs and people will ride to any area in Gujarat,” said Viraj Jadhav.

He added that the company is currently working to reach every small village in India by 2025 and take people on car rides. Till this year end they target to start the service in every metro city. Due to Corona they take utmost care about the safety of passengers.
