Vadodara SOG caught a stamp vendor and her husband for making duplicate notorised papers

Forged the notary signature in different name

Vadodara SOG caught a couple involved in making duplicate notorised papers by forged the notary signature. The team caught three along with the husband of stamp vendor and notary after laid the trap.

During patrolling the team received the information about one stamp vendor Bakula Ashishbhai Patel through her office named Shreeji Type Center is selling the stamp papers to the customers and present herself as notary before them. She notorised the documents as D.J. Patel before me and cheat people.

The team kept a watch and raid the office based on the information and caught Bakula Patel, Ashish Patel and Bipin Patel from the spot. During interrogation of Bakula Patel the team came to know that she possess a stamp vendor license and along with her husband operated from Shreeji Type Center. Six months ago Bipin Patel met Bakula and offered her to give 78rs per notorised document in the name of D.J. Patel and also give the stamp to her. Till date she signed 400 to 500 documents for the customers.

During raid the team seized 31 rubber stamp, DVR, Notary register, mobiles from there and booked them under IPC 170, 193, 406, 409, 420, 465, 466, 476, 114 and the notary act 1952 under section 12 in Karelibaug police station.
