Vadodara city SOG has busted a mini factory operating at Dabhoi Road Manek Estate to make duplicate engines of branded companies. Police have arrested three accused including the factory owner along with items worth Rs 36 lakh.

Vadodara City S.O.G. P.I. M.R. Solanki recieved a information about a Bolero pickup tempo was leaving from Patel Estate towards Kapurai. Based on the information the team kept a watch near Ganesh Nagar and stopped the mentioned tempo. During the search of the tempo the team found 90 cartons of duplicate engine oil of branded companies like Honda, Hero and Servo. Police seized duplicate engine oil worth Rs 4,97,100 and arrested tempo driver Wasim Salimbhai Fakir (resident of Selamba village, Narmada district).

While interrogating the tempo driver, shocking details were found about Nusrat Mehndi alias Naushad Bhejawala was running a factory for making duplicate engine oil of a branded companies at Godown No.-A-7 in Manek Estate on Dabhoi Road. He further said that the factory manager had filled the carton tempo with duplicate engine oil and was about to deliver to Kalpesh Vimalchand Jain owns an autoparts shop at Selamba.

Based on this information the SOG team raided the factory located at Manek Estate and found the factory owner Nusrat Mehndi alias Naushad Bhejawala (Res. Wadi Taiwada, Panigate, Vadodara) and his cousin Shabbir Sultan Sheikh (Res. Madar Apartment, Badri Mahallo, Wadi-Vadodara). They found variety of items, including stickers, brands used to make duplicate engines from branded Honda, Hero, Servo and Castrol companies. Police seized Rs 31 lakhs items from the godown and arrested the factory owner and his accomplice. Apart from this, Kalpesh Jain, a spare parts trader from Selamba and Raghu Thakur, a trader from Valsad, who was involved in the scam, were also investigated.

As per SOG PI M.R. Solanki, Nusrat alias Naushad Bhejawala is a manufacturer of duplicate engine oils for branded companies and ordering raw material from Velmat Company throughn Raghu Thakor of Valsad. On 9-6-2020 Nusrat Mehndi Bhejawala was caught with duplicate engine oil worth Rs 3,34,536 from his residence. He also made duplicate engine oil at Ranoli and arrested by the police at that time. Nusrat Mehndi used to make duplicate engine oil and sell it in the markets. Earlier also he was arrested at Jawaharnagar and Panigate police stations in connection with a duplicate engine oil scam.
