Vadodara rural LCB and SOG caught two notorious criminals from UP involved in firing and robbery case

Two others declared as absconding in the matter

Vadodara rural LCB and SOG caught two members of notorious gang from Uttar Pradesh involved in firing and robbery at Deepmangal petrol pump at Bhaniyara village comes under jurisdiction of Waghodia police station.

As per details early morning on 10th April 2021 three unknown youths on motorcycle came at Deepmangal Indian petrol pump and illegally entered the office. They threaten the complainant and other employees present there with Tamancha and beat them with pipes. They then looted the cash 27000 kept inside the drawer, fire on the outside shed and fled from the spot.

An offence was registered in Waghodia police station against three people. The LCB and SOG teams immediately reached the spot and get details about the three accused came on a motorcycle. Based on that they began searching of the bike and found it abandoned two kilometers away. The team quickly realised that the accused use a stolen bike and might use some other vehicle to fled.

The team began investigation and found the bike is registered in Surat and further they check CCTV footage of hotels, petrol pumps, toll plaza from Surat Vadodara Jarod highway, Jalil Dahod, Alirajpur and Jhabua in MP and till UP about any suspicious vehicle.

Meanwhile they found a suspicious Indica of UP registration following the motorcycle in the CCTV footage of Golden Chowkdi. Investigating the car the team found it entering UP state through Dahod and MP after the crime. The vehicle is registered in Unnau district in Uttar Pradesh and investigating team primarily felt the accused are from the same district.

Based on the findings the team of LCB and SOG reached Unnau, dressed as locals, camped at different villages and began their investigation to find the suspicious car and who is using it. Earning the trust of the leaders and locals they found the car is used by Chandraprakash Sharma of Uchgaon Sani who is a notorious criminal of Unnau district. He along with his friends is involved in various crimes in the district. They are habitual offenders and having the habit of firing from their local made pistols.

Keeping this in mind the team move ahead with caution and get details about them from locals and human sources and arrest Chandraprakash Sharma and Atul Kumar Verma. During interrogation the team found both the accused along with their friends Ajay Patel and Dhanraj Lodhi along with local made pistol reached Surat in the car.

After stayed there for four to five days they headed towards UP and stole the bike from near Kamrej bus depot. They then reached the petrol pump and looted the cash and threaten the employees after fired in the air. They then dumped the stolen bike and fled to their home state in the mentioned car.

The team arrest Chandraprakash Sharma and Atul Kumar Verma and declared two Dhanraj Lodhi and Ajay Patel as absconding in the matter. Chandraprakash is a notorious criminal and among the top 10 in Unnau district of UP. He is involved in around 19 offences in Unnau, Bighapur, Sohamram, Achalganj, Gangaghat, Banthara, Lucknow districts. Atul Verma is also a notorious criminal and involved in various crimes registered in Unnau, Bihar, Aashiyana Janpad Lucknow.

Ghanraj Loghi is also a notorious criminal and among the top 10 in Unnau district. Around 20 offences registered against him and he is also wanted in around six crimes in UP. He carries a prize money of 25000 and to evade arrest he is always on the run. Ajay kumar Patel is also has criminal past and among the top 10 criminals in Unnau district. He is involved in six offences registered in police stations.

Further investigation is on to trace the two accused.
