Arrest him for abusive, threatening video uploaded and shared on social media

Vadodara City Police took action in respect of an abusive, threatening video uploaded and shared on Social media by Youtuber Shubham Mishra. He hurled abuses on Mumbai based comedian Agrima Joshua over her performance at a standup comedy event in which she cracked joke on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s upcoming statue.

As per available details, the controversy starts over a two years old video of Mumbai based comedian Agrima Joshua. In the video she was performing at a standup comedy event in which she cracked joke on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s upcoming statue. This video recently got circulated on social media and she was slammed for ‘hurting sentiments’ of followers of Shivaji Maharaj.

In this whole controversy Vadodara based Youtuber Shubham Mishra posted a video in which he was hurling abuses on her. This video went viral across social media platforms and many comedians and netizens have expressed their outrage against Shubham Mishra and asked the administration to take quick action. Actress Swara Bhaskar and Comedian Kunal Kamra posted the video of Shubham Mishra and tagged National Commission of Women to take action against him for alleged direct rape threat. National Commission of Women swiftly acted on the complaints received and the Chairperson of NCW, Rekha Sharma has written to DGP Gujarat for taking immediate action against Shubham Mishra.

Vadodara police take took action against Shubham Mishra in respect of an abusive, threatening video uploaded and shared on Social media. He was arrested under IPC 294, 504, 505, 506, 509 and IT act 67 by Vadodara police and further investigation is on in the matter.
