Vadodara police caught and detained 30 to 40 heavy vehicles for violation of police commissioner order about the decided time limit for them. The vehicle owners however request the police officials for mercy and releasing their trucks this time after collecting fine.

According to the notification issued by the Vadodara City Police Commissioner, heavy vehicles are banned in the city area from 7 am to 1 pm and from 4 pm to 9 pm. But the vehicles are being driven at heavy speed and violating the notification and sometimes innocent citizens were victims of rashly driven trucks on the city roads.

In this regard, a special drive was conducted by the Vadodara City Traffic Police Department in which about 30 to 40 heavy motorists who had entered the city limits in No Entry were apprehended and all their vehicles were detained by the police. They all were issued RTO memo for violation of stipulated time limit.

However the owners of the vehicles arrived at the Karelibaug Traffic Police today and described their grief to the officer. They said their business were badly affected due to Corona lockdown and after the unlock relaxations they are slowly getting back to track. They accept their fault and plead mercy from the official to release their vehicles this time and promise not to repeat it again.
