Makes it a point to cover the victims with a shroud
Some people who die in a road accident sometimes don’t even get a shroud. But its not the case everytime as there are people who comes to give them the respect they deserve after death.
One such good Samaritan is a policeman from Vadodara police who makes it a point to cover the accident victims with a shroud. Sureshbhai Ingalakhiya is doing the humanity work to cover the shrouds on those who die in the road accident or naturally. So far he has have covered about 200 dead bodies.
Originally from Porbandar, Sureshbhai Hinglakhiya, works as police constable in Vadodara city police since October 2016. He said, he was shaken by a road accident where there was no shroud to cover the woman who died in the accident. Since then he started to serve such victims by cover them with shrouds.
49 year old Sureshbhai Jamnabhai Hinglakhiya said, he was transferred from Porbandar to Vadodara and there was then an accident between Innova and another car near the Tarsali Bridge. He reached the spot with the PCR after the message from the control and saw the car turned into a wreckage. A woman was killed in the accident and he was shocked to see this death. 108 ambulance arrived at the spot and the woman was taken to the ambulance in the same condition without the shroud. Since that day he decided to keep the shrouds with him and cover the deceased during his duty. Till date he covered around 200 victims with shrouds.
Notably, on Sunday two youths crashed into a dumper near the Tarsali bypass and Upon learning of the incident, Head Constable Sureshbhai Hinglakhiya reached there with the staff. The body of the youth was there at the spot and he immediately covered it with the shroud. He then send the another injured youth to hospital for treatment.
It may also be mentioned that even during the lockdown to prevent the spread of corona, Head Constable Sureshbhai Hinglakhia distributed food kits and masks to the poor. In addition he is doing service activities whenever the opportunity and need arises.
