Vadodara Municipal Commissioner Nalin Upadhyay issued notification for food sellers
Vadodara Municipal Commissioner Nalin Upadhyay issued a notification regarding strict implementation of rules to be followed by people selling food items on larris and shops. A series of guidelines is issued for them in view of Covid 19 pandemic.

After the relaxation in lockdown, shops and business establishments are allowed to operate while following the strict guidelines to contain the spreading of virus. In view of that municipal commissioner issued a notification for the food sellers operating from different part of the city.

As per the notification they have to follow strict guidelines like, don’t keep any food items in open and sell, cover every food item, don’t sell any stale food and destroy it immediately, maintain social distancing at the place, sanitiser, soap and water shall be provided by the sellers, maintain cleanliness at workplace, sellers must ensure safety measures like wearing gloves, masks and head caps for himself and staff during work.

Failed to follow the guidelines will invite serious consequences like the shops and larris will be immediately closed after destroy the food items. Secondly action will be taken against the owner or violaters under section 188 of IPC (45 of 1860) and FSSAI act.
