Trains running with traditional coaches between Vadodara-Kathana will run with Demu rake from 02.10.2019 with new numbers. Train no. 79439/79440 Vadodara-Kathana Demu was flagged off from Vadodara railway station by MP Ranjanben Bhatt on Gandhi Jayanti. Divisional Railway Manager Devendra Kumar, officers and railway employees were also present on the occasion.
Talking about the benefits of Demu, Passenger trains with conventional rakes could seat 126 passengers while DEMU has a capacity of 288 passengers. After the arrival of the new time table, the speed of the train will increase in the coming time and the journey will take less time. Fuel and time will be saved.
On the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, MP Ranjanben Bhatt inaugurated the digital museum installed at Vadodara station to show cleanliness and other awareness messages to the passengers. Apart from this she also inaugurated the digital time table installed for the convenience of the passengers. On this occasion, the MP also took a photo with the Divisional Railway Manager at a selfie point.
