Arrested two accused along with 7.35lakhs worth items

Vadodara J.P. Road police busted a racket of gas theft from LPG cylinders and refilling inside the empty ones. Police arrested two accused along with 7.35 lakhs worth items from them.

As per the details  where the accused refill empty cylinders from LPG the surveillance team of J.P. Road police received the information about one tempo driver and helper involved in some illegal activities in Tandalja Almadina Residency society. The duo transfer LPG gas after broke the seal of the cylinders with the help of a pipe to empty ones and then supplied it to the customers.

The team reached the spot and arrested the two Riyaz Sheikh and Sahil Qureshi refilling the cylinders. They also found 35 packed 14.2 kg subsidised LPG cylinders, one empty cylinder, three wheel tempo and pickup jeep, pipe, plastic seal for repacking, mobile, 32 bills of Bharat Gas from the spot worth 7.35 lakhs.

During the raid police found the cylinders less in weight and the accused deliver them to the customers and involved in black marketing. They also use clever techniques to fool the customers while weighing the cylinders and run the racket for long.

Police booked the duo under IPC 285, 379, 406, 420, 114, 120 (B) and essential commodities act 3 and 7 and further investigating.
