Rajeshwari Singh founder of I India and a avid cook is going to attempt Guinness World Record as well as Limca Book of Records for cooking non stop for 50 hours. In order to create a name for herself as a first woman to cook in the world continuously for 50 hours and also to collect money for her project based on giving a platform to the housewives of India and make them empowered.
Rajeshwari Singh from Vadodara is going to attempt the record starting from Thursday and cooking non stop for 50 hours and making various delicacies popular in all across India. In between she can take a five minutes break as the rule allowed and also the whole activity is under monitoring of a physiotherapist.
“Cooking is my passion and start cooking from since 10 years and I want to attempt the record from my home town. The idea is to get a fame for myself, my city and country and for that I am attempting the record from here. I will be making 200 plus dishes and starting with Kesar Pista Ferni. I will be helped by my physiotherapist friend who came all the way from Delhi to help me,” said Singh.
Presently the record is in the name of Benjamin Perry from USA who cooked for 40 hours. Now Rajeshwari Singh is attempting to break the record. “I am attempting the record for cooking for 50 hours and try to break the record. Here in India women as cook is a challenge in the men world so I took up the challenge and attempting the record as the only woman cook in the world and first to attempt such record,” said Singh.
Rajeshwari Singh is attempting the record for reasons to promote herself and the country, world record, promote Indian culture and raising funds for her project for housewives. “I want to raise funds for RHEA (Random Housewives Empowerment Association) which is for the housewives to provide them a platform. I want to create a network of them and promote them in social media in the areas like cooking, baking, Radio and others. The idea is to empowered them,” said Singh.
The dishes Rajeshwari make will be videographed and documented and send to the record committee for claim. She also make dishes for the slum kids of Vadodara during the attempt. She will cook all popular recipes of almost all states of India and plan to make a special dish for Baroda.
