Expands the team for special and smooth security arrangements

With increasing population and development, Vadodara city needs extended police force security. It is also the nearest city to visit world’s tallest statue, the Statue of Unity at Kevadia Colony in Narmada district. With VVIP movement more often at international airport and railway station, special vigilance is required for smooth security arrangements.

The city is considered to be the headquarters of Central Gujarat from an industrial point of view and has made a huge contribution. Vadodara is developing as a smart city and the prestigious Bullet train project, world class International Airport and National Highway No. 8 passes through it. With this in mind, the Vadodara City Police Commissioner’s Office send a proposal for new posts of officers/employees, to approve new police stations as well as to create new quarters for officers / employees for Police Welfare. The same has been accepted by the government.

Considering the representation from Vadodara City Police Commissioner, the Government has sanctioned new posts of Assistant Commissioner of Police-1, Inspector of Police-07 as well as 1028 new posts of police personnel this year.

Police officers and staff are constantly busy to maintain law and order. However there are very few houses for them and for the welfare of police families, the government has sanctioned total 06 Quarters of Deputy Commissioner of Police undergoing at Akota police line, 36-quarters for the Deputy Superintendent of Police of the unit at Vadodara city which will start soon. Moreover approval has been received this year for construction of 36-quarters for Police Inspector, 72-quarters for Police Sub-Inspector and work is underway to prepare about 900 quarters for police personnel.

As the area of ​​Makarpura and Manjalpur police stations in Vadodara city is very large so a new Atladra police station will take place after their division, Akota police station after division of Gotri police station and JP Road police stations, Kumbharwada police station after division of City Police station, Warasiya Police station and Karelibagh Police station and Kapurai police station to look after a very long national highway passes around Vadodara city. In short four police stations will be added in the city.

Approval is given by the Government for the new construction of Assistant Commissioner of Police e-Division Office, Panigate Police Station, Cyber ​​Crime Police Station, Wadi Police Station, Makarpura Police Station, Manjalpur Police Station and will be start soon.
