10073 people were vaccinated in 202 centers on Friday
A total of 10073 people were vaccinated against corona in Vadodara district on Friday. Giving details, Chief District Health Officer Dr. Surendra Jain said that a total of 10073 people have been vaccinated with first or second dose at 202 sites in Vadodara district on Friday alone. Vaccination will continue in 202 places on Saturday as well, so people should benefit from this system.
Of these, 8027 people in the age group of 60+ and 45 to 60 years were given the first dose of the vaccine while 2046 people in the health worker and front line category were given the first or second dose. This is the record of daily vaccination in Gujarat. So far 62017 people have been vaccinated in the category of elders and dangerous disease victims. While 50 per cent of the registered elders of 60+ have been vaccinated.
Intensive planning has been done by District Collector Shalini Agarwal in coordination with Vadodara District Health System and other departments to increase the speed and coverage of Corona vaccination.
More than 8,000 people have been vaccinated in rural areas of Vadodara district throughout the day and on Friday Vadodara district is at the forefront of daily vaccination in the entire state. For which 202 vaccination centers were set up in the entire district from Friday.
Necessary steps were taken by the Provincial Officers, Mamlatdars as well as Taluka Development Officers to bring people to the center and raise awareness about vaccination. As vaccination has been made easier and more comprehensive by the District Collector, a special request has been made to all eligible people to get vaccinated immediately.
It may be recalled that there were earlier 87 vaccination centers in rural areas of Vadodara district. To speed up vaccination, the number of centers was increased from 63 to 150 yesterday on Thursday.
Then on Friday 52 new centers were added and vaccinations were carried out at 202 sites. Thus, there has been a very significant increase of 115 vaccination centers in two days. As a result, 62,017 eligible people have been vaccinated till date.
A total of 22754 people which includes 11284 health care and 11,470 frontline warriors were given the first and second dose of covid vaccine. Of these, 16,051 people have been given a second dose of the vaccine so far. Thus, currently 84,769 individuals have been given the first dose of the vaccine.
Elders over the age of 60 and people between the ages of 45 and 60 with serious diseases are currently being vaccinated as per the rules. The District Collector has requested all eligible persons to be vaccinated at the nearest centers.
