Discussed on formulation of integrated rescue relief and evacuation strategies against monsoon disasters and Coronavirus
Vadodara District Collector held a meeting with top Army and NDRF officials on the formulation of integrated rescue relief and evacuation strategies against monsoon disasters and Coronavirus. It is decided to form teams of well equipped trained personnel to move people from the Isolation Center Quarantine Facility and Home Quarantine to safely in flood situation.
Amid the epidemic of Covid 19, monsoon is also expected to arrive soon in Vadodara. In view of such challenging situation Vadodara district collector Shalini Agarwal held a meeting with top officials of Army and NDRF to plan strategies for both the challenges.
Especially to shift the suspected or positive patients of Covid kept in isolation centers, institutional quarantine centers or home quarantine areas in.case of flooding and waterlogging in the areas. The discussion is to form trained teams of personnel and to arrange equipment including PPE kits for them.
Along with that discussion was also there to train the SDRF, homeguards and civil defence teams equipped them for this work. The District Collector made a special request to to preparing a special team which can work with safety by wearing PPE kits, use sanitisers and maintaining the social distance to move people to safety. She also request to prepare special kits for the team.
District Collector also inspected the working of District Disaster Control Room following the Nisarg cyclone warning and gave guidance along with reviewing the necessary pre-preparations.
