Vadodara crime branch arrested one for selling foreign brand cigarettes

Selling cigarettes without any statutory warning written on
the packets

Vadodara
crime branch caught packets of foreign brand cigarettes from inside Goga Pan
house situated on Sama Savli road. The team caught the seller for selling the
cigarettes without any statutory warning written on the packets.

The crime
branch PI A.B. Jadeja received received the information about the foreign brand
cigarettes selling from Goga Pan house situated at Siddharth Anex 2 on Sama
Savli road. Based on the information the team raid inside the shop and seized
59 packets worth 11,800 rupees.

PI further
said that as per Supreme court guidelines its mandatory to write statutory
warning on cigarettes packets. The packets seized from the pan house don’t have
such warning written on it and it’s illegal. The team arrested Devendra
Chaudhary for selling foreign brand cigarettes and further investigation is on
in the matter.
