Reviewed the Coronavirus and pre monsoon operations

For the fifth time in a row, Vadodara District Collector had a video conference with the sarpanches and talatis of the villages of the district. She obtained information about Coronavirus and pre monsoon operations and provide necessary guidance to them. So far collector interacted with 219 sarpanches and 238 talatis through video conferencing and covered 457 villages in five sessions.

Under direct communication initiative, District Collector Shalini Agarwal interacted with the village sarpanches and talatis of the villages for the 5th time through video conferencing. She get details about the preventive steps taken at village level to contain Coronavirus and also the pre monsoon preparations work done by them.

Later she gave detailed guidance on the need to take precautionary measures to prevent mosquito and water borne diseases through intensive cleaning, pit filling, prevention of waterlogging and anti-larval operations, especially during the current Corona situation. She made a special request to create an atmosphere of understanding and cooperation for the people to observe the necessity of wearing masks and maintaining social distance in the villages for safety against corona.

During the dialogue, the villagers were instructed to spray disinfectants from time to time, clean water tanks and repair leakage lines, use toilets and take special care of children, the elderly and pregnant women and people with other dangerous diseases.

District Collector informed that all the beneficiaries should benefit from the provisions of foodgrain distribution in the self-reliant scheme of the Government on basis of Aadhaar card if there is no ration card and should be implemented properly.
District Development Officer Kiran Zaveri gave guidance on pre-monsoon preparations. Taluka Development Officers at Taluka level, Additional Resident Collector at District level and Chief District Health Officer joined in this dialogue.

Today in the 5th session, there was a direct dialogue with 32 sarpanches and 35 talatis. In all sessions, the District Collector has interacted directly with a total of 219 sarpanches and 238 talatis through video conferencing and covered 457 villages and provided guidance on reviewing Covid situation and pre-monsoon preparations.
