Tied Rakshasutras on the wrists of Corona Warriors and wished them on Rakshabandhan festival

Vadodara district Collector Shalini Agarwal celebrate the Rakshabandhan festival with Corona warriors who are working day and night to save the lives of people. As a sister she symbolically tied the Rakshasutra to the Corona Warriors engaged in the work at Quarantine Center, Covid Care Center and Sample Collection and pray for their well being.

The Corona Warriors, contributed in the fight against Covid-19 in Karjan, Dabhoi, Padra, Shinor, Savli, Desar, Vadodara Rural and Waghodia talukas, joined the Rakshabandhan celebration through video conferencing at the Collectorate, Vadodara. The sisters of Sakhi Mandal tied Rakshasutra to all these officers and employees and prayed for their life and good health.

As per the instructions of the District Collector, the Raksha Bandhan festival was also celebrated at the taluka level to encourage the work of Corona warriors.

Special congratulations were extended to the health workers including taluka health officials, medical officers, RBSK-AYUSH doctors, pharmacists, multi-purpose health workers, nurses, lab technicians, police, municipal, panchayat and revenue workers.

Inspired by the District Collector, Rakshasutra was also tied on the wrists of people who performed noble work of rescue and relief in the heavy rains and floods last year.

District Collector Shalini Agarwal informed through video conference that, Rakshabandhan festival remains of special importance amidst the Corona pandemic. All the officers and employees including health, police, revenue and their teams have done a great service by performing their duty with full vigor for the protection of the people and the society without ever worrying about their lives and family. She expressed confidence that we would be able to join the operation with positive energy and come out of the long battle against the Corona pandemic successfully.

Memebers of Sakhi Mandal tied Rakhis on the wrists of District Police Chief Sudhir Desai, Additional Resident Collector D.R. Patel, District Health Officer Uday Tilawat, DYSP Kalpesh Solanki, officers and employees of the District Health System and pray for them.
