Seminar put focus on in depth details about the virus and it’s precautions

In first of its kind initiative, Vadodara airport conducted a Coronavirus seminar for its staff and stakeholders who are the first respondents to such infected persons. The seminar put focus on the details, it’s origin, precautionary measures and screening the passengers on their arrival at the airport.

With recent news of Corona Virus infection and its spreading, there has been a lot of apprehension among general public. In order to address these and to provide scientific guidelines and sensitize the staff working at Vadodara Airport, Airports Authority of India Vadodara in co ordination with Tricolour Hospitals Vadodara has organized the session and Health talk by Dr Hiten Kareliya on Coronavirus awarenesses and prevention.

“The passengers coming from Wuhan city can carry the virus with them and the session is to make them aware about the precautions take by the airport staff to screen them. The staff has the queries about tackling the situation during attending the passengers coming from infected cities. The session make them aware about the precautionary measures to save themselves from the virus,” said Dr. Hiten Kareliya infectious disease specialist.

“The session is to spread awareness among the staff of airlines, CISF, Airports Authority of India and stakeholders about Coronavirus. The initiative is to make the staff get deep knowledge about the virus and take measures to tackle the situation as first respondents to the passengers,” said Charan Singh Airport Director Vadodara.

Piyush Patel, Epidemic Medical officer from Vadodara Municipal corporation, Vadodara also remain present during the session and gave expert advice.
