US President
Donald Trump has praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said he is looking
forward to his visit to India. Talking to media persons at Joint Base Andrews
in Washington last night, Mr Trump said he likes Prime Minister Modi a lot.

On Indo-US
trade deal, Mr Trump said, the two countries are going to sign a major
bilateral trade package but he is really saving the big deal for later. The US
President said, he does not know if it will be done before the US presidential
election in November. Mr Trump is scheduled to visit India on February 24 and
25.

US President
Donald Trump will be welcomed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Sardar Patel
international airport, Ahmedabad on his arrival on 24th February. According to
official sources, President Trump will be given guard of honor at the airport
on his arrival. After reaching Ahmedabad Airport, President Trump and Prime
Minister Narendra Modi will first visit Sabarmati Gandhi Ashram.

After the
brief visit of Sabarmati Ashram, they will reach newly built world’s largest
Motera Stadium for the main function Namaste Trump. Ahmedabad correspondent
reports that preparations in connection with the visit of US President is in
full swing. Though the people of Ahmedabad had witnessed the visits of Chinese
President and Japanese Prime Minister in recent past, but the visit of US
President is much different from previous.

The people
of Ahmedabad are eagerly waiting to welcome the US President Donald Trump and
US first lady Melania from Airport to Motera Stadium.

According to
Ahmedabad Municipal Commissioner Vijay Nehra, 1.20 lakh people are likely to
attend the Namaste Trump -function at Motera Stadium, while around 2 lakh
people are expected to gather during the high profile roadshow from Airport to
Motera Stadium.

Two control
rooms have been set up to monitor the roadshow and Namaste Trump- function.
Though the President and Prime Minister will use the limited route for their
roadshow, the big hoardings- welcoming them and marking Namaste Trump event
have emerged all over the city.

Ahead of US
President Donald Trump’s two-day visit to India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi
tweeted that India is all set to accord a memorable welcome to him. Mr Modi
said that the visit will further cement India-US relationship. He further
stated that both countries share a common commitment to democracy and
pluralism.

Mr Modi said
that both India and US are cooperating extensively on a wide range of issues.
Further stating he emphasized that robust friendship between both the nations
augurs well not only for citizens of both the countries but also for the entire
world.

Ms Melania
Trump as well, in her tweet said that she is excited about the India trip which
will celebrate close ties between the USA and India.

Prime
Minister Narendra Modi visited Texas, USA in September last year where he was
welcomed in a grand Howdy Modi event. Speaking on the friendly relations of
both the countries, Mr. Modi, in the event, also invited the American President
to visit India.

During the
visit, President Trump and the First Lady of the United States will attend
official engagements in New Delhi and Ahmedabad and interact with a wide
cross-section of Indian society. The Indo-US relationship has further evolved
under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and President Trump with
significant progress in all areas including trade, defence, counter-terrorism,
energy, coordination on regional and global issues as well as people-to-people
ties.
