2014-Inaugurated Bus Station Turns Fatal: Structure Collapse in Vadodara Disrupts Transport, Triggers Probe

A major accident occurred on April 10 at the Vadodara Central Bus Station when a portion of the upper structure collapsed unexpectedly. One person died on the spot, while another sustained injuries. Emergency teams, including fire brigade and police, quickly reached the location and initiated rescue operations.

According to DCP Jagdish Chavda, the deceased is reportedly from Chandkheda, Ahmedabad. Authorities have cordoned off the area and are investigating the cause of the collapse, while checking for any additional victims trapped under debris.

The bus station, inaugurated in February 2014 by then Chief Minister Narendra Modi, is now under public and administrative scrutiny following this tragic incident.
