Two members of a family from Vadodara died in a tragic accident near Morbi

In a ill fated incident two members of the Chauhan family from Vadodara died in a road accident near Morbi while trying to save a dog. Seven others including two girls were injured and shifted to nearby medical facility. The family was on the way to Dwarka in a newly purchased car.

Vicky Jagdish Chauhan, who lives in city’s Tarsali Sharad Nagar and works as a senior coach in the municipality’s swimming pool, bought a new Artica car on Saturday as it was his younger brother Parth’s birthday. The family planned to take a new car to visit Dwarka.

Vicky, his wife Radhikaben, twin girls, Parth and maternal uncle aunt and parents left for Dwarka in a new car around 10 pm. Meanwhile, the family’s car was involved in an accident near Morbi around 4 a.m. A dog came across a car in Sawadi village at Tankara taluka of Morbi district. The car overturned while rescuing the dog and the occupants sustained serious injuries. Vicky Chauhan and his wife Radhika died on the spot in the tragic accident. Other family members in the car sustained injuries and were treated at a nearby hospital.

The villagers rushed to the spot and began the rescue operations. The body of the couple who died in the accident was brought to Vadodara on Sunday evening and their last rites was performed. A pall of gloom spread in the area over the incident.
