Truck owner from Odisha fined Rs 6,53,100 for violating traffic rules, breaking all records of fines

A truck owner from Nagaland was fined Rs 6,53,100 after being caught here in Odisha on August 10 for violating a slew of traffic rules.

With that, he had probably become the first truck owner in India to be fined such a hefty price for traffic rules violation before the new Motor Vehicle Act, 2019 was implemented. The new act came into force on September 1 across the nation.
