Twenty-five tribal children from Ambaji in Gujarat’s Banaskantha district are preparing to showcase their musical talent at the Statue of Unity in Ekta Nagar, Narmada district, during the National Unity Day celebrations on October 31. The children, aged between 14 and 16, are part of a bagpiper band trained by Shree Shakti Seva Kendra. After six years of rigorous training, discipline and regular practice, they will perform at the national-level Ekta Parade for the third consecutive year.

The initiative follows the inspiring motto, “Bhiksha Nahi, Shiksha” (Education, Not Begging), and aims to provide underprivileged tribal children with opportunities to build a better future through education and skill development. Under the guidance of the organisation and its mentors, the children have developed confidence, teamwork and leadership skills through music. They are currently rehearsing at the Statue of Unity ahead of the celebrations marking the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Their performance is expected to add a special musical touch to the National Unity Day event, showcasing how dedication, education and the right guidance can transform young lives.
