KLM cancels flights ahead of latest ground staff strike

Dutch airline KLM is cancelling 119 flights on Wednesday (24 September) as it faces another strike by its ground staff.

The carrier is in dispute with the CNV and FNV unions over collective bargaining, and the latest industrial action will see union members stopping work for six hours from 6am to 12pm.

Most of the cancelled flights are on short-haul European routes, while KLM has also retimed 70 flights for a later departure on Wednesday.

KLM ground staff previously walked out for four hours last Wednesday (17 September) and for two hours on 10 September as part of the ongoing dispute.
