IndiGo and Jetstar sign codeshare to ease travel between India, Australia and New Zealand

To enhance air connectivity between India and the Pacific region, IndiGo has signed a codeshare agreement with Jetstar, allowing Indian passengers to travel seamlessly to multiple destinations across Australia and New Zealand.

Under the arrangement, IndiGo customers will be able to access 14 new destinations across Australia and New Zealand using Jetstar’s network.

The partnership will allow bookings on IndiGo’s website starting July 21 for travel commencing from September 1, 2025, subject to regulatory approvals.

The codeshare will provide a seamless travel experience with single-ticket bookings, integrated itineraries, and through check-in of baggage for the entire journey.

Destinations covered under the agreement include major cities such as Sydney, the Gold Coast, and Auckland.

IndiGo described the move as part of its broader international expansion strategy.

The airline expects the partnership to enhance connectivity, promote tourism, and support trade and cultural links between India and the Pacific region.

With this agreement, IndiGo will serve as the marketing carrier while Jetstar operates the connecting flights from Asia to Australia and New Zealand.

The deal aims to tap into rising demand from Indian travellers and the growing Indian diaspora in Oceania.
