The directive, issued on June 20, mandates the Tata Group-owned carrier to act immediately. Citing unnamed sources, PTI reported that the aviation regulator has also directed Air India to initiate internal disciplinary proceedings against the officials without delay.
While the identities of the three individuals have not been officially disclosed, it is confirmed that a senior executive at the divisional vice president level is among those being held accountable as per the DGCA's order.
This action reflects the DGCA’s heightened vigilance in ensuring compliance with crew management protocols and upholding passenger safety standards across Indian carriers.
