A Kolkata-bound Air India plane aborted takeoff at the Delhi airport after a technical snag was detected while the aircraft was accelerating on the runway at 155 km per hour, as per a report.

The incident occurred on Monday evening at Delhi airport involving an Airbus A321 aircraft with 160 passengers on board.

The aircraft was scheduled to depart at 7:30 pm, but it developed a technical snag. An airport official said, “The flight promptly relayed the information (to air traffic control) and did not take off, moving back for taxiing.”

All passengers were safely deboarded following the aborted takeoff.

In a similar incident, an Air India flight on the same day from Kochi skidded off the runway while landing at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) amid heavy rainfall. No injuries were reported among passengers or crew.
