Aim to
provide fresh vegetables to people at their doorstep
In order to
provide fresh vegetables to people at their doorstep the Vadodara district
administration makes arrangements starting from Friday. Around 24 tractors
reached the societies in each ward of the city and provide fresh vegetables to
the residents observing the lockdown.
Gujarat CM gives instructions to the district administration to make arrangements for the people to get fresh vegetables everyday in the time of lockdown.
In view of
that Vadodara district collector Shalini Agrawal held a meeting to implement
the same and give instructions to start it at once. The meeting is attended by
police commissioner, municipal commissioner, SP, DDO, DSO, APMC, District
Registrar, cooperatives and others.
Recently the
famous Khanderao market is shifted to Polo Ground in view of the lockdown and
this decision to provide fresh vegetables at doorstep is seen as a strong
option for the market.
As per the
decision 24 tractors from the Sayajipura market reaches the societies in every
ward of Vadodara city to provide fresh vegetables to vendors and people
observed lockdown in view of COVID 19. The aim is to reduce the crowd in the
vegetable markets and help people to stay indoors and stop the chain of Coronavirus.
