Total 13 teams of NDRF deployed in different areas of Gujarat in view of the rainfall  prediction by IMD in Gujarat between 12th Aug to 21 Aug. This phase of Monsoon  will cover almost whole State and extremely heavy rainfall is also expected in some parts and districts of Gujarat.

Decision of deployment of teams was taken by NDRF Jarod Unit Commandant Ajay Kumar Tiwari with the consultation of Government of Gujarat officials. He closely monitoring the timely team deployment keeping in principle of GOLDEN HOUR and operational equipments and other requisite essentials.

Besides this he is also taking care the team personnel safety by proper briefing against Covid 19. Teams are fully equipped with Special Prepared Suits which protects from  pandemic without hampering the flood rescue techniques during rescue or evacuation at effected areas.

Teams were also properly briefed regarding Safety and  Captive Management of crocodiles as the NDRF Teams  experienced last year in City of Vadodara. They are asked to keep themselves as to be “Crockwise”  to avoid any untoward incidents because this seasons offensive nature of crocodiles are noticed being breeding season of this water.

“Fresh deployment of NDRF teams are at Morbi, Patan, Banaskantha and Jamnagar district. With these teams, total 13 teams deployed in Gujarat.

Teams also kept standby at Vadodara & Gandhinagar as Intimated by 06 BN NDRF Unit PRO.
