Stole gold and silver jewellery from the temple

Thieves target Shatrugni Mata temple situated on the banks of Mahi river near Lanchanpur village in Savli taluka and stole gold and silver jewellery from the temple. They broke the lock of the main door and entered inside the temple to steal the ornaments. Savli police is further investigating after the complaint registered in the police station.

The famous temple of Shatrugni Mata is located on the banks of Mahisagar river near Lanchanpur village. The priest of this temple is Ganeshpuri Mahendrapuri Goswami and lives near the temple with family in a house.

He locked the temple after aarti on the evening on 9th March. Meanwhile on the night or early morning next day, the thieves target the temple. They broke the lock of the main door and stole the ornaments of godess from the temple.

Priest Ganeshpuri Goswami, who arrived in the morning was shocked to see the lock of the main door of temple broken. Later he checked inside and found the ornaments offered to the godess missing. The family members also rushed to the spot when they get to know about the incident and were disappointed with the theft in temple.

Meanwhile, temple priest Ganeshpuri Goswami immediately informed the Savli police about the incident and they rushed to the spot and began their investigation. The priest told police that the thieves took away 200 grams weigh crown, 15 grams gold band, a silver necklace weighing 100 grams, a silver bracelet, silver earring, silver bracelet weighing 100 grams as well as Rs 1,500 from the donation box.

Savli police have registered a case of theft against unknown theives and further investigation is on to nab the accused. The incident shocked everyone in the village and they believe it might be the work of some insider.
