Under the guidance of Government of India, Covid-19 vaccination had started and in the first phase health worker and second phase front line worker are vaccinated by Gujarat government. 85% vaccination was done in Gujarat, while in Vadodara district 10783 healthcare workers and 12794 front line workers got the benefit of vaccination. A total of 23577 people were vaccinated in the district.

The third phase of Covid-19 vaccination starts in the district from Monday from March 1, 2021. In this phase, it is planned to vaccinate people above 60 years of age as well as those with serious diseases in the age group of 40 to 60 years.

With the launch of the world’s third largest phase of vaccination campaign in the country starting from March 1, the district health system has made arrangements for citizens to get free corona vaccine from 49 primary-community health centers in eight talukas of Vadodara district. In addition, people can also get a dose of corona vaccine at a nominal rate from five private hospitals in Vadodara district.

Under the third phase of vaccination, free vaccine will be given at all government (primary / community health centers) in Vadodara district.

Vaccination can be registered online through CoWIN 2.0 as well as the Arogya Setu app. If registration is not done, immediate registration can be done at the vaccination centre. Vaccine will be given in 5 private hospitals of the district under government schemes at a cost of Rs. 250.

The Vadodara District Health System has made all the arrangements so that people can easily get vaccinated against coronavirus.

For the third phase of vaccination, 10 vaccination centers have been set up in Vadodara (rural), 7 in Dabhoi, 4 in Shinor, 5 in Desar and 5 in Waghodia and 6 in Karjan, Padra, Savli taluka. In addition, vaccine can be given in five private hospitals in Vadodara village. These include Crossroad, Parul Sevashram, Dhiraj, Sterling Cancer Hospital and Kailash Cancer Hospital and Research Center. It is mandatory to carry an identity card at the time of vaccination.

Chief District Health Officer Dr. Surendra Jain has requested the people of the eligible age group to take note of the vaccine and cooperate.
