Unique contribution by the life-saving service to help in repair of 19 different types of devices of Gotri Hospital
The prestigious EME school of the Indian Army at Vadodara, specializes in the maintenance and repair of electronic, mechanical and modern digital devices.
District Collector Shalini Agarwal decided to utilize the expertise of the institute to ensure that the sensitive life saving devices of the hospitals were maintained at a time when the Corona crisis was at its peak.
She and the District Superintendent of Police visited the institute and consulted with its superiors. Based on that a Telephonic Equipment Helpline has been started from 15th May. With the help of this helpline, a important and life-saving help was received in case of an emergency at Gotri hospital.
As many as 19 different types of machinery and equipment of Gotri Hospital were damaged due to mechanical defects. With the help of the helpline started by EME, all the devices were sent to them and have been repaired and restarted in time by the experts.
Devices like Infusion Pump, De-Fibrillator, ECG machine, bio otter, fogger machine, suction machine, oxygen concentrator and flow meter have been repaired and put into operation by specialists of EME school. District Collector appreciated the courtesy and contribution of the EME school and hopes that they will be helpful in the upcoming monsoon as per the need of hospitals.
